BASIC.SPACE CELEBRATES MIAMI ART BASEL WITH A TWO-DAY EXHIBITION EVENT
A SELECT.MIAMI EXPERIENCE ROOTED IN CURATION, COMMUNITY, AND DISCOVERY SHOWCASING NEW ITEMS EXCLUSIVE TO BASIC.SPACE AHEAD OF A PRIVATE OVERNIGHT WITH SECULAR SABBATH.
On November 30th through December 1st from 12pm to 7pm, Basic.Space hosted hundreds of visitors at “Select.Miami,” a unique exhibition and shopping experience curated by a select group of best-in-class creatives including Juliet Johnstone, Danny Cole, TOMBOGO, Elena Stonaker, and more in Miami’s celebrated Design District.
This two-day event showcased a blend of never-before-seen artworks, limited editions, and brand collaborations, all exclusive to Basic.Space with a slew of VIP guests making their way through the pop-up event. The first day served as a members-only preview with day two open to friends and guests. Select commissioned a 3D artist to render the physical space giving access to those that couldn’t join in person but still get to experience digital mapping of the art, products, sounds and designs.
The second portion of the evening kicked off at midnight with Secular Sabbath inviting an intimate crowd for a late-night takeover of Melin Atrium. The sensory experience transformed the space with glowing ambient light and live performances by Rhye, Chantel Jeffries, Scout LaRue Willis, and more. Attendees immersed themselves in the space, laying among the artworks in zen until the early hours of the Miami morning.
